My first post in my new blog.

This is my first post in my new blog, and i hope to make many more. This blog is mainly for my own use, and keeping track of my own play, so i don't really care that much if i don't get any reader's. I will update this blog daily, with results, graphs, hand histories, strategy, and things Ive learnt.
I am building my BR on stars and its at about $150 at the moment, i hope to make it a lot bigger than that over the next few months. I built that amount up from freeroll winnings, and i have never deposited online, I'm quite proud of that fact.

The games i play.
NLHE (like many others) is my main game. Right now, i play NL5, both fullring and 6max. I usually play around 1,000 hands a day (sometimes more sometimes less). I would be happy to sustain a winrate at NL5 of about 4PTBB/100.
However, over the last 10K hands i only have a winrate of 0.5PTBB/100, which is very bad. But pokerEV says i am actually running 3.8ptbb/100. Its just a bad run which has caused me to not actually win any money, even though i am playing great.
Hopefully my luck will change and i will start winning the amount i deserve to win. So, as far as NL5 goes, i think i can beat that level.

Here is my pokerEV graph for my last 10K hands at nl5 Fullring. For those who don't know, the red line is the amount i should of won on hands that went to showdown and the blue line is the amount i actually have won. However, i am losing A LOT on hands that don't go to showdown. I believe this is because i don't C-bet or 2nd barrel enough. Basically I'm playing waaaaaay too passive, which i hope to change. This just shows how much variance there is in the sick game of "poker".

Yesterday i played some NL5 6max, which i haven't played for awhile. I ended up break even after about 1,000 hands. I'm happy with that, since i am more used to fullring and i was also pretty unlucky in the 2nd half of that session. Here is the graph for that session.

Recently, i have also started playing more LHE (limit hold'em), and Ive been doing quite well. I started out playing 10c/20c and after 2,000 hands, i won $30, which is a nice amount for that level. I am still a beginner in LHE but i hope to get better. I have read, "Getting started in holdem-by Ed Miller", and i hope to read "Holdem poker for advanced player", "Winning low limit holdem" and " small stakes holdem". If i read those books, and fully understand the concepts within, then I'm sure i will be a solid winning LHE play up to the $1/$2 level. Here is my graph for my hands of 10c/20. The players at this level are soo bad, which is nice.

The other game i would like to get better at, and eventually beat, is PLO (pot-limit omaha). I don't play much omaha and i have not got much experience with the game either. It is a tough game to learn, but as you can imagine the players at the micro's are absolutely terrible at omaha. I heard Tom Dwan (durrrr) say in an interview, that NLHE was his best game but PLO was other players worst game. I think i am in the same situation, whilst I'm getting pretty good at hold'em, the omaha waters are very fishy. And that why i should start playing more omaha.I dont play much sng's, although i should because the micro sng's are very fishy right now and they are also a good way to practice for tournaments. As for tournaments, i know that they are probably the weakest part of my game right now. I hope to get better because like sng's, the micro tourneys are very very fishy. Also, you can win some big money in tournament when you get lucky. I plan on reading Harringotn on holdem V1, V2 and V3, i believe those books will improve my game a hell of a lot. Also, I will read the tournament section of "getting started in holdem" and "poker tournament strategies". So thats just a little bit about me and the games i play. Hopefully i will move onto play NL10, PLO10, 25c/50c LHE, $5 sng's and $1-$5 tournaments soon.
