There is good news and bad news. The good news is that I ended the day up. The bad news is that I was only up by $3. It was a very swingy day. I played 1,000 hands of NL5 fullring, 1,000 hands of 6max, and 500 hands of 10c20c LHE. I lost in the nl6max session and the LHE session. I think I played ok in both, but the profitable situations just didn't come up, and I ran pretty bad for most of the session.
I would of been down big in the LHE session, if it wasn't for one big pot that I won. This is how it went.
LHE.
I was in the sb with A8 of clubs. There was a raise and a re-raise in front of me, I would usually fold this, but I was getting pretty good odds and I was sure more people would come into the pot, thus increasing my pot odds even further. So I called as did two others, just as I had hoped. Then it got back around to the guy who raised it 1st, and he 4bet. I'm pretty sure my hand is crushed at this point but the pot was huge and it was only 1 small bet to call, so I called and 5 of us went to the flop in a capped pot.
The flop came Q67 with the 67 of clubs. I had the nut flush draw and the pot was huge. I check, and everyone went crazy. Basically the flop was capped with all players still in. The turn was magic, just as I had hoped a nice little 3 of clubs popped off giving me the nuts. I bet and to my surprise, the turn was also capped, one player had folded. But still, I had 3 opponents still in, preflop, flop and turn all have been capped and i had the nuts. At this point I'm pretty sure everyone has a pretty decent hand, there was probably a set out there and maybe a straight or smaller flush.
The river came a 3. One of the worst cards in the deck. I was gutted. I no longer had the nuts and I was about 75% sure I was beat, so I checked. There was a bet and a raise in front of me. At a higher level this could be a fold. But down here I could be up against, top pair, two pair, straight or smaller flush, so i called. The pot was almost capped to the maximum. My hand is shown, first player mucks. 2nd player mucks and then the 3rd player mucks. I take down the pot of $8.25, which is 41BB. One player had QJ for top pair. The other had 67 for 2pair and the next had K5 of clubs for the 2nd nuts. I think I played the hand ok, except form preflop, where a fold was probably correct.
There was only one more big pot i won in the LHE session, it was for 20BB. I raised KK and got one caller, i then flopped the nuts and kept betting, he raised the turn and only called the river, he then showed 67 for middle pair.
For the rest of the session i plummeted back down to break even, shot back up, went back down and back up, but it all ended down for a total profit of -$2.68. I think i played ok, just the cards were not hitting me and my opponents kept on drawing out on me. I know there is a ton of variance in LHE 6max, and 500 hands is nothing to go on, but i was really disappointed with that session.

NLHE 6MAX
My NLHE 6max session did not go well either. I played 1,000 hands but didn't find any good spots to get my money in. I ran pretty bad. I was card dead, my opponents always had hands when i bet out. My c-bets hardly ever took down a pot and i missed all of my draws. There were not really any interesting hands to post. It was just a long boring session, i was constantly getting into ugly situation with small stacks, were i just had to pay them off. Most pots i played, i got my bets in good. but i only had a small advantage, and over 1,000 hands it is not uncommon for all those small advantages not to hold up.
However i do have some big leaks in my 6max game. One of them is playing too tight and losing too much on hands that don't go to showdown. I know that Ive got to start loosening up, stealing pots, 2nd barrelling, playing position as much as possible, raising or folding prelfop instead of calling and Ive gotta stop open limping. Also, maybe the fact that I'm 4 tabling has decreased my edge considerably. I might start 2tabling 6max and see how that goes. There was one interesting pot.
I was in the BB with K9o. There were 2 folds, and the CO limped, BTN folded and the sb called, I checked and three of us saw a flop of TJQ rainbow.
The perfect flop for me. I have the 2nd nuts and i cant give anyone credit for AK as they didn't raise PF.
SB checks and I bet pot (15c) and the CO calls, sb folds. The CO could have anything here.
Turn comes a 7 and I bet 70c, he then calls. At this point he probably has a pair of queens or jacks, maybe an ace chasing the straight. The river comes a 2 and I value bet for $1.55, hoping to get called by any pair, 2pair, a set or A high.
Then he shoves it for about $2.50 more. I'm shocked and i obviously cant fold, he could do this with any one of the hands I had hoped to get called from.
I call and he shows AK. Oh well thats poker, i played the hand ok and that was a one off.
Nothing else interesting happened that session. I picked up some really big hands but got no action, and i ended up being down $7.

NLHE fullring.
My main game (fullring), went really well. I ended up winning around 3 buyins. But it wasn't all that nice, the session started off with me yet again losing. I was tilting soooooo bad.
I all started with my AA losing again, it was not a big pot and it was a pretty easy fold (4 flush on board) but its not nice to lose with AA. That loss however, turned around when AA won me a nice little pot for $3. Again the hand was pretty straight forward.
Then i got pretty angry when i flopped the nut flush, bet small and like 4 people folded. Same thing happened again a few hands later, when i flopped a set with JJ. Its just sick how much i don't get action on my big hands.
Next big pot, was when i had TT. It was raised preflop and i called, flop came QT2, i ended up getting it allin, with one caller and guess what he had, QQ. Yes set over set. At this point i was fuming and the session was going really really bad.
A few hands later i get QQ, raise preflop get one caller. We get it allin on a flop of J85 and yes he has a set. At this point i feel like dieing. The session is going unreal, in a bad way.
The session the turned around.
I won a HUGE pot, this is how the hand went.
I had AA in MP, it was folded to me and i made it 20c to go. I got only one caller and we seen a flop of 9A7 all hearts. Perfect flop for me, obviously he could have a flush but the odds of that are not worth thinking about.
The other great thing was that my opponent had $8 and i had $10. I bet out 20c, to try and keep him in and he calls. At this point, as long as no heart comes on the turn (i didn't have a heart) i don't care what he has.
The turn comes a 9, giving me the 2nd nuts. Only quad nines can beat me. And again, the odds of that are not worth thinking about.
I bet 45c and he min raises to 90c. I'm so happy to see this, i soo hope he has a 9. The good thing is that he is not bluffing, he actually is trying to trap me. I raise it to $2 and he reraises allin.
Obviously i snap call. river is a 3 and he shows 77 for a boat. It was set over set and for the first time in the last 20K hands, i had the higher set.
The other two buyins i won were with 33 and again AA. Both were pretty straight forward.
I limp with 33 in a multiway pot and flop a set. Me and someone else get it allin on the flop, and he has top pair, just as i expected. My set holds up and i win another buyin.
I got my AA allin preflop against some idiot with KT. My aces hold and i win another buyin.
The only other interesting hand i played was when i had TT. I raised pf and got one caller. The flop came T46 of clubs. I bet and he min raises. I know how passive the players at NL5 are and he could have the flush here. However, i was getting great odds and even if he does have the flush i can draw out.
The turn is a King (not a club) and i check. To my surprise, he shoves $4 into a $2 pot. Now i have no idea what to do at all. This is by far the hardest decision of the day. I have top set and the only thing that can beat me is a flush.
At first I think, why would he do this with a flush? But, then i know that some NL5 players, play flushes exactly like this.
However, i know that some NL5 players would do this on a flush draw or with 2pair, top pair or a lower set.
It was very close between a call and a fold, but i ended up folding because i didn't want to end the session down. I know that is stupid to think like that, because all that matters is the long run. He showed 45 with the 5 of clubs. Obviously he made an idiotic bluff, and he is getting called there 95% of the time. If i was break even or on tilt i would of snap called there.
I now know (after posting that hand on a forum) that a call there was correct, and I'm disappointed that i folded.

Overall the day was ok and I'm happy with how i played. A big thing that is causing me to lose lately, is that my big hands are not getting payed off. In both 6max and fullring, i would say my AA, KK and QQ win a nice pot 10% of the time. %50% of the time they win a small pot and %40 of the time they lose a big pot. I don't even want to talk about QQ, over 20K hands i am down with them. This is no lie, 50% of the Ive had QQ, Ive been up against AA or KK. 20% of the time my opponent drew out on me and 30% of the time i won a small pot. The same goes for flopping sets, THEY JUST ARNT GETTING PAYED OFF!
